Marvin Gaye does some "crowdwork"

Bummer about Don Cornelius (Soul Train founder found dead from gunshot wound). He's the man responsible for this, one of my favorite things to watch ever: Marvin Gaye doing "Let's Get It On" on Soul Train in 1974.

Talk about, um, connecting with an audience. The 2:40-3:05 interview part is pretty fun too.

Thanks for sharing this. Don Cornelius and Marvin Gaye. Two influential legends of modern soul who have passed on. RIP
Check out the beard, the knit cap, and the fugly fashion. Marvin is setting the style standard as the original "blipster," yet he is still absolutely ROCKING this crowd. Thanx again!
