Bob Dylan thinks like a standup

This is a great clip from the Scorcese doc on Bob Dylan called "No Direction Home." The way he tosses out words/ideas here reminds me of how comics play with an idea, start talking out loud, mix things up, and hope something fun/surprising sneaks out.

This is what I imagine Myq Kaplan doing when he's shitfaced.

I've seen that documentary, but I can't see the clip here (restrictions on computer). If his song-writing is anything like my joke-writing he's mumbling to himself on a train then laughing and shaking his head. Then he's going back to playing Twisty Text Lite.

Mark, it's true...when I'm shitfaced, I am the voice of a generation.

But it's sort of a nasally voice of a generation, so not everyone listens.

Also, it's not my own generation.

Also, I'm shitfaced now.

Okay, I have now watched this clip. That is nothing like how I write jokes.
