Hey, Matt. Couldn't help but respond to the to the questions about comedy in Tokyo. They do have stand-up and improv there in English (mostly for expats). Check this out:

The Japanese also have their own brand, though not like ours, called "manzai." Two guys stand on stage, usually in speedos, sunflowers over their nipples, and one of them repeats a catch phrase while getting hit on the head with a frying pan. Hilarity ensues.

THAT'S what manzai means? Really wish I didn't have that tattooed on my lower back now.
